Bento Bag

The Bento bag was one of the projects from a recent sewing retreat.

Bento bags originated in Japan. They are also referred to as market bags, triangle bags, or origami bags. They are perfect for taking to the shops to replace plastic or paper vegetable bags, or even as reusable gift wrap.

It’s not a difficult make, but you really need to cut and sew accurately for the maths to work out. Take your time working through the instructions and you’ll get a lovely bag at the end.

Kits contain three fat quarters (20” x 22” / 50cm x 55cm) of fabric, which you will need to cut to size prior to sewing. Full instructions are also included.

Prices start from £12.50

Infinity Scarves

This is one of our older kits, but we’ve now cut a lot of new fabrics. This has also been a popular class.

Whenever we make a dress, we quite often use some of the leftover fabric to make a matching scarf.

Kits contain two fat quarters (20” x 22” / 50cm x 55cm) of fabric, which you will need to cut to size prior to sewing. Full instructions are also included.

You could make your scarf warmer by using a strip of wadding (not included).

Prices start from £12.50

Dressmaking Kits

So far, we have made up kits from some of our Merchant and Mills patterns. Each kit contains everything you need to make the garment. The price of the kit depends on the cost per metre of the fabric and how much is included. We can also make up kits to your requirements.
