In 2018 we held our first ever retreat, where attendees completed a number of small projects over the course of the weekend, in lovely surroundings and with good company.

In 2020, with impeccable timing, we scheduled our first “Spring Thing”, a more pared back version of the retreat, where delegates brought their own projects to work on. Due to circumstances, this was postponed until 2021, but was really well received.

We continue to offer two retreats a year. The Spring Thing remains a smaller event, where delegates bring their own projects, so is offered at a reduced rate. The main retreat takes place later in the year, and includes some projects to work on and a goody bag.

For all events, we have a number of options available to allow flexibility for our delegates. All retreats take place all day on the Saturday and Sunday, with the weekend rate including dinner, bed and breakfast on Saturday night / Sunday morning. Many delegates also book the Friday night as an optional extra, allowing them to make a full weekend of it.

The retreats take place at Holiday Inn Barnsley, which is just off Junction 37 of the M1. We have been going there since 2023 and are very impressed indeed by the facilities offered to us.
